Project Overview
Kurumi is a psychiatric home-visit nursing service operated by Make Care Co., Ltd. The service covers the Osaka City area and provides care to people in their own homes. Its nurses have specialist knowledge and experience in psychiatric care. Support is planned around each individual and may include health monitoring, medication guidance, assistance with daily life, and advice for family members.
Make Care is a long-term Artclick client, and this project was developed as part of our ongoing working relationship. Artclick handled the website design, coding, WordPress development, responsive implementation, and the development of a custom consultation booking form.
The Challenge
Some visitors may be learning about psychiatric home-visit nursing for the first time. The website therefore needed to explain the service in a way that was clear, considerate, and easy to understand. The client also needed a better way to manage consultation requests — a standard contact form would not provide enough control, because the availability for each consultation slot could vary.
The main requirements were:
- Explain psychiatric home-visit nursing to first-time visitors
- Present sensitive information in a clear and reassuring way
- Use visuals to make the service easier to understand
- Help users and their families find relevant information
- Create a consultation booking form with adjustable capacity
- Reduce the administrative work involved in managing reservations
- Provide a website that could be maintained through WordPress
Our Approach
We organized the website around the questions that prospective users and their families are likely to have when first considering home-visit nursing. The content explains who the service is for, what kind of support is available, and how users can begin a consultation. Illustrations were used throughout the website to support the written explanations and make unfamiliar information easier to follow.
The tone and visual style were kept calm and approachable. This was especially important because visitors may be looking for support during a difficult or uncertain period.
Consultation Booking System
A custom consultation booking form was developed as part of the website. The system allows the available capacity for consultation slots to be set individually. This helps the staff manage availability more accurately and reduces the need to handle every initial request manually by telephone or email.
Users can review the available options and submit a consultation request through the website. The form provides the staff with the information needed to follow up while keeping the first step straightforward for the user.
Design and Development
The website uses illustrations, clear headings, and carefully separated content sections to explain the service without presenting too much information at once. The layouts were designed for desktop computers, tablets, and smartphones, with particular attention to mobile readability, since users and family members may access the website while looking for care information away from a computer.
WordPress was used as the content management system, allowing information to be updated as the service develops.
Technical Implementation
The project included:
- Website planning and content organization
- Custom website design
- Original visual and illustration-based presentation
- Front-end coding
- WordPress CMS development
- Custom consultation booking form
- Adjustable capacity settings for consultation slots
- Responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile
- Ongoing website operation and support
The Outcome
The completed website gives Kurumi a clear way to explain psychiatric home-visit nursing to users and their families. Illustrations and structured content help first-time visitors understand the service, while the consultation form provides a direct way to make an initial inquiry.
The booking functionality also supports the staff's administrative work by allowing consultation capacity to be managed through the website. As a long-term client, Make Care continues to work with Artclick on its website and digital requirements, allowing us to support changes as its services develop.
