Project Overview
THE EAST TIMES is a Tokyo-based company dedicated to uncovering and communicating the hidden value within people, organizations, and communities. Originally established as an independent media organization covering regional communities and areas affected by natural disasters, the company has since expanded its expertise into recruitment support, talent placement, organizational development, and business consulting.
Artclick was commissioned to redesign its corporate website — not simply as a source of company information, but as a brand platform capable of communicating the company's philosophy, story, and purpose.
The Challenge
THE EAST TIMES needed a website that could:
- Clearly communicate its philosophy and distinctive worldview
- Connect its corporate mission with its diverse range of services
- Explain the company's evolving business in an accessible way
- Strengthen its brand identity
- Help visitors understand not only what the company does, but why it does it
The central challenge was transforming an abstract but powerful philosophy — the liberation of hidden value — into a clear and engaging digital experience.
Our Approach
We began by carefully studying the founder's message, the company's origins, and the ideas behind its work. Based on this research, we organized the website around the concept of "unlocking hidden value." The information architecture was designed to guide visitors naturally from the company's philosophy and history to its individual services.
Rather than presenting each service in isolation, we created a story-driven journey that helps users understand how recruitment, talent placement, organizational development, and business strategy all originate from the same core belief.
Design Concept
A large tree was selected as the central visual motif. Its roots and trunk represent the company's core values, while its branches symbolize the different services and possibilities that grow from those values. This visual system makes the relationship between THE EAST TIMES' philosophy and business activities easier to understand.
The design uses the company's corporate blue to communicate trust, intelligence, and professionalism. Illustrations and diagrams add warmth and accessibility, allowing complex ideas to be presented in a more approachable way.
Technical Implementation
The website was developed with WordPress and includes:
- Custom website design
- Responsive layouts for desktop, tablet, and mobile
- Clear, story-led information architecture
- Original illustrations and visual explanations
- Search-engine-friendly page structure
- A content management system for ongoing updates
- Support for continued website operation
The Outcome
The completed website provides THE EAST TIMES with a coherent digital platform that connects its philosophy, history, brand identity, and services. Visitors can now understand the company from both an emotional and practical perspective — first discovering what it believes, and then seeing how those beliefs are translated into concrete services.
The result is more than a conventional corporate website. It is a brand experience designed to communicate the company's purpose and reveal the value behind its work.
